Sony FX5 Triple Base ISO's for S-Log3 & S-Cinetone

The Three Base ISO's for the Sony FX5

This is a quick cheat sheet for the base ISOs for the Sony FX5. If you're shooting in RAW, (X-OCN LT, X-OCN C1 or X-OCN C2), S-Log 3, you'll have access to Cine EI which will take care of these values for you, and you wont have to remember these ISO values off the top of my head.

However, if you want to shoot custom ISO modes, or not use Cine EI in S-Log 3 - here is a quick reference for the different triple-base ISO values for the most popular profiles for the Sony FX5.

RAW & S-Log3 ISO

  • Low Base: 800
  • Mid Base: 4,000
  • High Base: 12,800

S-Cinetone ISO

  • Low Base: 320
  • Mid Base: 1,600
  • High Base: 5,000
